Note di degustazione
Tasted blind. Deep ruby colour. Quite a leafy, savoury nose that has a slight funk to it. Full of a ripe green flavour – the predominant character is akin to tomato vines. Though the tannins are not over-extracted, they are firm, and can be felt through to the finish. (TP)

The 2017 Les Tourelles de Longueville is marked by cool, herbal Cabernet Sauvignon notes, just as it was en primeur. Sage, mint, blood orange, juniper berry, lavender, spice and dark red and purplish fruit come together in an especially savory Tourelles that shows real power and density. The 2017 is sensual, open and exotic, with notable aromatic complexity and plenty of structure, all of which give it character and personality. In 2017, Les Tourelles has a bit less Merlot and Cabernet Franc because of frost damage.
The 2017 Les Tourelles de Longueville is aged for 12 months in 70% one-year old oak and 30% new oak. It has a plump mulberry and blackcurrant scented bouquet with a light shellfish note emerging with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, cranberry and crushed strawberry, leading to a well balanced and surprisingly approachable finish. Just give this a year in bottle and it should be ready to go.
A blend of 55% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2017 Les Tourelles De Longueville is all about elegance and finesse, with silky tannins and no hard edges. It has classic Merlot ripe cherry and raspberry notes as well as cedary herbs, spice, and a hint of violets. Beautifully balanced, with a great mid-palate, it's another terrific 2017 that's going to drink nicely for 10-15 years at a minimum.
