Note di degustazione
The 2019 Les Tourelles de Longueville has an earthy, leather nose with savory red fruit, hints of dried blood coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite infused entry, well balanced, fine grip with a rather austere finish. I like the classically-styled finish and the spicy aftertaste here. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Merlot-dominated blend aimed at restaurants. Tasted blind. Very dense, shaded crimson. Bloody, soft, opulent, exotic, accessible fruit. A good effort, even if there’s a little alcohol on the end. Lots to enjoy in the short term here, even if it’s not the freshest. Quite long. (JR)
Another second wine from this great estate is the 2019 Les Tourelles De Longueville, a Merlot-dominated blend that includes 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Petit Verdot. It's another beautiful, round, sexy 2019 and offers ample ripe black cherries, smoked earth, tobacco, and chocolaty nuances. Medium to full-bodied, round, and lush, with sweet tannins, it's going to put a smile on your face any time over the coming 15 years.
