With 50,000 bottles made, the Massolino 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo is a relatively easy and stripped-down red wine with classic Nebbiolo aromas of wild berry, blue flower and earth. There is a rubbery element as well. The mouthfeel is mild, meaning that the best fruit of the vintage was probably directed elsewhere.

The 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo is a pretty serious wine, as evidenced by its considerable tannic clout. Crushed red berry, spice, mint and chalk open nicely. The 2019 is clearly a wine for the dinner table, not to mention a real gem in this vintage. Vineyard sources are in Alba, Barolo and Barbaresco, while aging was a bit more than a year in cask.
