Note di degustazione
Wafting from the glass with scents of plum, raw cocoa, spices and toasty oak, the 2019 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Clos de la Croix de Pierre (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is medium to full-bodied, tensile and lively, with a bright core of fruit and fine, powdery tannins, concluding with a chalky finish.

The 2019 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre is clearly more complex than the Combottes on the nose and offers greater terroir expression. Dried peach, nectarine and subtle beeswax aromas gently unfold from the glass. The palate is balanced with tropical notes on the entry. It is just missing some tension and nervosité toward the finish. Like the Combottes, this starts better than it finishes.
Cask sample. Light, rather dull nose. On the palate there is attractive chewiness and in this vintage it is far from meagre. But it’s far from dramatic. QGV (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
