Hazelnuts, cream, apricots, pear skins and lemon curd with some shortbread. Rich and buttery with weighty, flinty and smoky layers. Lots going on. Punchy, powerful and delicious. Drink or hold.

Bottled in February 2020, the 2018 Meursault Les Tessons has a nicely detailed bouquet of walnut and light smoky aromas that unfold in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, nice poise and a touch of dried honey and lemon curd toward the finish. Apricot lingers on the aftertaste. Very easy to drink now, yet it has the legs to give 15 years of drinking pleasure.
On the nose there is not that much but on the palate there is an explosion. Pretty promising if you can afford it. Long. (JR)
The 2018 Meursault Les Tessons offers chalky, granitic scents on a nose that is well defined and more malic than the Les Grands Charrons tasted alongside. The palate is fresh and bursting with tension, and there is a superb thread of acidity here, with traces of orange peel and sour lemon appearing toward the persistent finish. A pretty Meursault that comes highly recommended.
