Note di degustazione
The 2022 Les Tourelles de Longueville has quite a floral bouquet, iris flower infusing the black fruit, with hints of cedar and graphite emerging with time. There is a coolness here. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit. The tannins feel polished, so that the finish is sleek, perhaps at the expense of a bit of tension. Overall, this is very fine. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

Aromas of sweet cherries, berries, petals and spices introduce the 2022 Les Tourelles de Longueville, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping wine with a juicy core of fruit framed by sweet, supple tannins. Some 60% of the blend was matured in oak vats, followed by bottling in January 2024.
Lots of classic lead pencil, graphite, smoky tobacco, and red and black fruit notes emerge from the 2022 Les Tourelles De Longueville, a charming, elegant, beautifully balanced Pauillac that has ripe tannins, medium to full-bodied richness, and outstanding length. A Merlot-dominated blend of 65% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Cabernet Franc, it’s already hard to resist yet should have 15+ years of prime drinking.
