2015 Brunello di Montalcino Ugolaia

The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Ugolaia is a stunning translucent ruby color in the glass with a classic bouquet to match. Here I’m finding fresh roses, ripe strawberry and crushed stone as well as shavings of cedar and hints of leather. This is incredibly pretty and feminine from start to finish, boasting textures like pure silk and a display of soothing red and hints of blue fruit. Inner violet tones linger long over a subtle layer of round tannins, yet the 2015 Ugolaia is already so pleasing that there’s no need to wait.
