Note di degustazione
Coming from a mix of terroirs and mostly Merlot, the 2020 Chateau Valandraud 3 De Valandraud offers an up-front, medium-bodied, juicy style as well as classic red and black cherry fruits, some savory herb and earth nuances, and solid character. I suspect it will be a good value.

The 2020 3 By Valandraud is the second wine of Valandraud and Clos Badon. It has a straightforward bouquet with quite high toned black cherries and cassis fruit, just a touch of VA giving it a kick. The palate is medium-bodied, well balanced, a little rough around the edges with a pleasant edgy and fresh finish. Lots of fruit here, but not decadent. Fine.
The 2020 3 by Valandraud is a plump, open-knit wine. Succulent dark cherry, cedar, pipe tobacco and dried herbs are nicely layered together in this soft, easygoing third wine from Valandraud. Sweet floral notes lift the finish nicely.
Informazioni sul produttore

One of the first garage wines, Ch. Valandraud was created by Jean-Luc Thunevin – Saint-Emilion’s “bad boy”. Today the style of the wine is much more restrained, and officially classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B estate.
