Punteggio 95/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2021

The 2017 Camartina is going to need a few years to open. That will be helpful as the wine ages, but it also means the Camartina does not have the opulence readers are likely to expect in this warm, dry year. Time in the glass brings out brighter tonalities of fruit and floral overtones that give a good idea to where the 2017 is heading. Readers should be in no rush here. (AG)

Punteggio 95/100 · James Suckling, Jul 2021

This is very dense and structured, but it has very energetic and intense tannins that provide energy and focus. It’s medium-to full-bodied with so much currant, slate, dried-mushroom and bark character. Flavorful finish. Cabernet sauvignon and sangiovese. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Try after 2023, but already exciting.

Querciabella
