Note di degustazione
The 2018 Volnay Village comes from two parcels (Grands Champs and Pluchots, the latter recently replanted) close to the Premier Crus, and it sees no new oak. The fragrant bouquet features more black than red fruit, nicely defined with a delicate floral touch. The medium-bodied palate delivers very fine tannins. I appreciate the edginess in this Volnay Village, thanks to the citric acidity and the spiciness that develops on the finish. Lovely.

Offering up aromas of wild berries, peonies and sweet soil tones, the 2018 Volnay Village is medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and chalky, with an open and expressive core of fruit structured around fine, powdery tannins and ripe acids.
