2019 Aloxe Corton Les Fournieres

The 2019 Aloxe-Corton Les Fournières 1er Cru, matured in 50% new oak like the Les Vercots, has a more opulent bouquet of pure blueberry and cassis aromas, becoming increasingly floral in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly drier tannins than the Les Vercots and maybe just a bit more rigid on the peppery finish. Slightly gawky at the moment, but it is fresh, and I agree with Nathalie Tollot that it may have greater longevity.
