Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2026-2052, Neal Martin, Dec 2023

The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with apple blossom, crushed stone, grilled walnut and light granitic scents. Again, this is quite complex and more nuanced than many of the Meursault-Charmes presented in the previous flight. It does gain more intensity when returning to the glass after 20 minutes. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, saline with a precise and poised finish. I feel this will have more to give after four to five years in bottle once it shrugs off its reduction. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The most reserved of these young whites is the 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières, a medium to full-bodied wine evocative of crisp orchard fruit, hazelnuts and warm bread. Bright and chalky, it's tightly wound and will merit some patience.

Punteggio 92-94/100 · Da bere 2023-2042, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru comes from a single parcel in Perrières-Dessus planted in 1983. This has far more detail than the Charmes with crushed stone infusing the delineated citrus fruit. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine, slightly waxy texture, sublte notes of praline and nectarine infusing the citrus fruit, quite tension with just the right amount of salinity breaking through on the finish. Excellent.
