Note di degustazione
Clove and vanilla, balsamic vinegar lift, old tobacco and a touch of dried capsicum, with dark chocolate and espresso oak notes. Firm, slightly coarse, chalky tannins that are starting to resolve. Touch of warmth. Dried black cherry and espresso length. A bit hard work, but decent enough. (TJ)

Mostly Syrah plus some bordeaux varieties. Smudgy garnet with some brick at the rim. Complex nose of sweet black fruit and a more savoury tarry quality. They are right to be showing this now: just ready to drink. The tannins are resolved, fine but still giving shape to the smoky, savoury, charry (but not oaky) black fruit. Long and elegant. (JH)
Petit Verdot, Syrah, Tannat, Mourvèdre. Dry and focused but the fruit can stand up to the structure better in the 2004 than in the 2006. (JR)
Mid crimson with some development. Real lift on the nose – I’m not sure I would have guessed Syrah but it’s certainly appetising. Lots of sweet leathery, slightly rustic, tannins on the palate. Quite firm. Rather obvious tannins and acidity. Less smooth than the Tassinaia. Still slightly burly. The vines would have been six years old when this was made apparently. (JR)
