An inky purple color, the 2020 LaVite Lucente is ripe and open with aromas of baked plum, black pepper, menthol, and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, it’s elegant on the palate, with refined tannins, a chalky texture, and a clean finish. It is in a great place for drinking now or over the coming 6-8 years.

The barrique-aged Tenuta Luce 2020 Lucente is a very well-priced blend of Merlot and Sangiovese. The wine shows a medium to full-bodied approach with sweet cherry, raspberry tart, almond cake and perfumed redwood or cedar smoke. It offers a contemporary style and soft texture that wraps fully over the palate. This is a handy, versatile wine to pair with a good many of your favorite Italian foods.
Hard to find a better value Tuscan, this is true crowd pleaser, expertly handled to offer maximum pleasure. Savoury edged, raspberry and red fruits, liqourice, smoked and grilled oak notes. This feels fresher and with more momentum than the past few vintages. Aged for 12 months in barrel, mix of new and neutral barrels. 88ha estate, winemaker Alessandro Marini.
