A notable success, the 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières (Domaine Louis Jadot) unfurls in the glass with notes of white currant, mint, spring flowers, citrus zest, drawn butter and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with fine concentration, racy acids and chalky structuring extract, it's one of the high points of the range.

The 2020 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is a step up in terms of precision and mineralité compared with the Meursault-Charmes. The palate is vibrant and well-balanced, quite tensile, touches of bitter lemon mixed with ginger and hazelnut, leading to a long and harmonious finish. This is recommended. Closure: Diam
