Note di degustazione
The 2014 Meursault Vieilles Vignes from Dugat-Py is a great success, wafting from the glass with a beautiful nose of crisp pear and orchard fruits intermingled with notions of wheat toast, popcorn and even white chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, glossy and textural, with a deep mid-palate, succulent acids, and a very long, penetrating finish. From vines planted in around 1946 in the lieu-dit Le Village, just to the south of the village of Meursault, three barrels were produced in 2014, two of them new, and the wine saw two winters on its lees.
