Note di degustazione
Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, mint, wild flowers and cedar give the 2017 Fleur de Pédesclaux striking aromatic top notes and plenty of brilliance. Fleur de Pédesclaux is not the most complex Pauillac readers will come across, but it is absolutely delicious and very easy to like. I would drink it over the next handful of years.

The 2017 Fleur de Pédesclaux offers light raspberry ripple and dark cherry aromas on what feels like a slightly one-dimensional nose. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity with a grainy, graphite tinged finish. Not bad for a Deuxième Vin, a "fun" wine to consume over the next 5-7 years.
The 2017 Fleur de Pédesclaux was cropped at 47hl/ha, a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. The bouquet is quite attractive with ebullient red fruit, orange rind and just a hint of baking powder. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a touch of hardness in the mid-third but finding decent delineation towards the finish. Fingers crossed this will turn into a decent Pauillac deuxième vin .
