The 2008 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard Haut Densité 1er Cru has a classic energetic nose, very well defined with hints of walnut and brioche. So much energy. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh, very tensile and saline with a precise finish. Wonderful.

The 2008 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité unwinds in the glass with notions of citrus oil and crisp orchard fruit mingled with freshly baked bread, smoke and iodine. Full-bodied, ample and layered, it's concentrated and textural, with more depth and body than the regular bottling, displaying a bright spine of acidity and concluding with a long, intensely mineral finish.
