2020 Chablis Cotes de Lechet

The 2020 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru is the most closed amongst this first flight, brooding and obstinate. Light petrichor mixes with Granny Smith and eventually emerges with impressive delineation. The palate is slightly honeyed in texture on the entry, spicy and peppery compared to its peers. What I appreciate is the crescendo in the mouth, the manner in which it builds and delivers concentration on the finish, equipped with the sapidity to urge another sip. Excellent.
