Note di degustazione
A total charmer, the 2021 Château Valandraud 3 De Valandraud has solid ripeness in its redcurrant and blackberry-like fruit as well as textbook tobacco, graphite, and spicy aromas and flavors. This medium-bodied, balanced, complex 2021 will keep for 7-8 years. It will put a smile on your face for sure.

The 2021 3 de Valandraud offers light, brambly red fruit on the nose, missing a bit of intensity yet nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, pleasant fleshy red fruit with a bright and perky finish. Less rustic than it showed from barrel, this is a very enjoyable Saint-Émilion.
The 2021 3 by Valandraud is a tasty entry-level offering from Thunevin. A burst of dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice and new leather makes a strong opening impression. This juicy, forward Saint-Émilion is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
The 2021 3 de Valandraud has a simple, slightly tertiary bouquet, a little rustic in style yet charming. The palate is medium-bodied with tannins that feel a bit course. A rough-edged, bistro-style rouge that Thunevin told me sells for just few euros; for that price, I would have no complaints.
Informazioni sul produttore

One of the first garage wines, Ch. Valandraud was created by Jean-Luc Thunevin – Saint-Emilion’s “bad boy”. Today the style of the wine is much more restrained, and officially classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B estate.
