Note di degustazione
The 2019 Meursault Bouchères 1er Cru is clean and precise on the nose, certainly a wine that articulates its terroir with more clarity than its peers, quite Alsace-like. The palate is well-balanced and underpinned by a silver bead of acidity that keeps this tensile despite clearly very concentrated fruit. Blood orange mixes with marmalade notes toward the feisty but compelling finish. There is a lot packed into this wine. Superb. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Notes of white flowers, blanched almonds, Anjou pear, yellow apple and fresh bread preface Lafon's 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Bouchères, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and expressive wine with lively acids, fine mid-palate amplitude and chalky back-end grip. As is often the case, one can anticipate a broad drinking window.
The 2019 Meursault Boucheres 1er Cru has a captivating bouquet offering hints of licorice that complement the yellow plum and white flower aromas. This conveys fine complexity and nuance. The palate is well balanced with a lightly honeyed texture. A cohesive and tender Boucheres that reveals a touch of spice toward the finish. It does not fan out with the same gusto as Lafon's other Premier Crus, but it conveys a sense of class.
