Tank sample. Mid crimson. Real intensity. Luscious gulpability with the fruit to the fore and brought to heel by some fine tannins on the end. Lots of liquorice pleasure here. (JR)

Matured in 50% whole bunch and 20% new oak, the 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru was still a little discombobulated after racking a couple of days earlier. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, slightly chalky in texture with a grippy is slightly short finish. Fine.
