2020 Chablis Clos des Hospices

The 2020 Chablis Les Clos Clos des Hospice Grand Cru has a crisp, effervescent bouquet like Pinson's Les Clos: Satsuma, light melon scents, crushed stone and hints of Mirabelle. The oak is neatly enmeshed. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh, citrus-driven opening. It is pretty linear in style and has good weight, though there is no peacock's tail on the finish. This Les Clos is being kept on a tight leash for now, but I find it stylish and sapid. One for more patient Chablis lovers. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
