Stefano Frascolla describes this as "a dream vintage with a mild spring and a sunny summer with a few rain showers sprinkled throughout." Those rains served to refresh the vines and moderate phenolic ripening. The Tua Rita 2019 Redigaffi is a true beauty and is the perfect vintage to conclude this historic retrospective. The wine is generous and full with deep layers of black fruit, leather, tar and spice. This is the vintage on the market now, and it's absolutely one of the most age-worthy editions in this tasting.

Aromas of violets, blackberries and black truffles follow through to a full body with firm, silky tannins with lots of texture thatâs caressing and enticing. Such polish and beauty. Very long and powerful. So much structure this year. 100% merlot. Best after 2024.
The 2019 Redigaffi is a potent, compact wine in its first impression. Readers will have to cellar this for a few years or give it quite a bit of air, as it is particularly closed today. Acids and structure dominate. Time in the glass brings out scents of espresso, blood orange, menthol, licorice, sweet spice and pomegranate. The 2019 spent 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
