2013 Puligny Montrachet Les Enseigneres (2020 Release)

The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères was served blind against Les Enseignères from Coche-Dury and Ramonet. I noticed a big reduction on the nose that threw me straight in the direction of Coche-Dury, and to be honest, in my opinion it rather occluded terroir expression. The palate displays fine weight in the mouth, perhaps with just a touch of botrytis (common in white Burgundy 2013s) and the dried honey notes just shaves off a little precision on the finish. It is a pleasurable Les Enseignères and yet I found myself seeking more nervosité. 895 bottles produced.
