2019 St Aubin Blanc La Chatenieres

The 2019 Saint-Aubin Chatenière 1er Cru has a lively and energetic nose. It's bright with Clementine and yellow plum scents, a little spicier than its peers. It's missing a bit of spark. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed opening and fine acidity. Light touches of white pepper lend some spiciness with just a touch of warmth on the finish, prompting me to dock a point from my score. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
