Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2021-2041, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Sep 2021

Tasted from bottle, the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Clos Saint-Landry Blanc has turned out very nicely, wafting from the glass with notes of crisp yellow orchard fruit, green pineapple, pastry cream, fresh bread and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and enveloping, with tangy acids and excellent concentration, it concludes with a long, saline finish. I'd expect this to make my score seem conservative after a decant in bottle.

A very striking white Beaune with apricot, candied-lime and fresh-herb character. Although this has some nice creaminess from sur-lie aging on the mid-palate, it is quite sleek with excellent freshness and a long, salty finish. Drink or hold.

Cask sample. Sweet pear-juice aroma. A streak of green (lime?) fruit and a simple, straightforward pleasure. No great complexity – could do with a little more burgundian savour or earthiness – but it's easy enough to like. (JR)

The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Clos Saint-Landry Blanc 1er Cru was the first to be picked in this vintage. It has a vibrant, energetic bouquet of citrus fruit and orange blossom. The palate is well balanced, featuring lemon peel and lime, and much more cohesive and complex than the Beaune Château Blanc, with a persistent finish. Enjoy over 6–10 years.
