The 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba is terrific. Floral and savory notes give Burlotto's Dolcetto its signature aromatic lift, with lovely sweet red and purplish berry fruit that opens up on the mid-palate. Soft and supple in feel, with no hard edges, Burlotto's Dolcetto is a winner in 2018, and also one of the most distinctive Dolcettos readers will come across. Fifty percent whole clusters give the Burlotto Dolcetto much of its unique personality.

Just mid ruby. Fragrant, almost a little explosive raspberry fruit nose. Gorgeous lightness of touch on the palate with sweet raspberry fruit and fine tannins. Worth every penny. GV (WS)
