2013 Barbaresco Quarantatre 43

As pale and translucent as the Qurantedue42 2013, but slightly narrower on the rim. Faint incense and violets on a restrained/closed nose. Lots of acidity, mouth-drawing, and the tannins, although fine, have a bit more grip than 42. Very fresh and lithe, but as with the 42 I feel that there could be just a little more depth in the mid palate. There's a lack of flesh, an almost uncomfortable boniness. (TC)
