Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2020-2026, Neal Martin, Sep 2020

The 2018 Chablis Village has an attractive bouquet of gently unfolding green apple and crushed limestone scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, and quite citric toward the finish, which shows good persistence for a Village Cru.

Scents of citrus oil, green pear, dried white flowers, bread dough and oyster shells introduce the 2018 Chablis Villages, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive wine built around lively acids and chalky dry extract. Fulfilling the promise it showed a year ago, this has turned out nicely and has a bright future ahead of it.

Nutty nose, with steely green apple on the palate. Fair density. Classically styled. (TJ)

The 2018 Chablis (Domaine) is beautifully layered, perfumed and expressive. White flowers, mint and orchard fruit all grace this silky, inviting Chablis from Fèvre. The Chablis emerges from a mix of 46 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 50 years. A touch of oak (5-7%, all neutral) adds a shade of complexity. In this rich vintage, the village Chablis is especially fine.
