Note di degustazione
(the yield here was a pitiful six hectoliters per hectare): Bright yellow-straw. Sexy aromas of peach oil, soft citrus fruits and hazelnut, plus a hint of menthol reduction. A bit stunted following the recent bottling, with its fruit flavors complicated by an herbal note and supported by sappy underlying minerality. This dry, classic Meursault boasts excellent inner-mouth tension and finishes savory and long, with its tightly coiled spring calling for patience.

He has 1 ha, on clay and at fairly low elevation. And just 20 out of usual 25 barrels. Powerful. Broad and even a bit beefy – stick this in a hamburger! Lots of structure. Savoury lime cordial. (JR)
(just 2-1/2 barrels made from 1 hectare, the equivalent of under 6 hectoliters per hectare): Pale yellow. Tight lemony nose muted by metallic reduction (this wine was the last 2016 to finish fermenting). Dense, juicy and tight, with lively citrussy acidity giving shape to the flavors of lemon, ginger and white pepper. Finishes tensile and aromatic, with slowly mounting length and lingering perfume. This wine finished with two grams per liter residual sugar (the rest were under one gram) but comes across as quite dry.
