2013 Meursault Les Perrieres

Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of grapefruit, orange and stony minerality reminded me a bit of Alsace Riesling. Stylish, elegant and just ripe enough, with saline crushed-stone minerality giving the middle palate superb cut and penetration. A hint of crushed herbs adds an element of complexity to this dynamic, soil-driven wine. For all its energy, it's not at all aggressive.
