The 2017 Volnay Les Grands Poisots has a straightforward, slightly earthy bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite Pommard-like in style, and needs a little more flesh to come through on the finish.

The 2017 Volnay Les Grands Poisots is very successful, revealing aromas of sweet cherries, cassis, grilled meats, espresso roast and raw cocoa. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and gourmand, with a juicy core of fruit, succulent acids and a pure finish.
