Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2024-2048, Neal Martin, Aug 2021

The 2017 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is neutral on the nose, sultry but not sullen, maintaining delineation and focus, with crushed stone and light smoky aromas developing over time; it does become a little reduced. The palate is well balanced with a salty, basalt-tinged entry. There is plenty of energy and superb acidity, leading to a vibrant, spicy, persistent finish. This fans out gloriously. Outstanding. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2027-2050, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

Aromas of light reduction dissipate to reveal notes of crisp green orchard fruit, wheat toast, iodine and dried white flowers, introducing Jobard's 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping wine that's concentrated and incisive, its deep and layered core girdled with racy acids. Long, penetrating and saline, this is a brilliant Genevrières that's more voluminous than the Poruzot and more elegant than the Charmes—and while it's hard to pick a favorite between the Jobard "big three," this gets my vote this year.

The 2017 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a wonderful, minty, citrus-driven bouquet that springs from the glass, bounding with energy. The concentrated palate delivers a sublime thread of acidity and touches of walnut and spice, leading to a very persistent finish that fans out gloriously. Huge potential here. One of Antoine Jobard’s best wines.
