The 2013 Haut-Bages Monpelou has a clean, strawberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with dried rose petal scents emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced albeit with slightly coarse tannin. However, there is a fine line of acidity and an attractive desiccated orange peel note that lends the finish personality. Enjoy the Pauillac from the Borie Manoux stable over the next 4-5 years.
