2015 St Aubin Blanc Murgers des Dents de Chien

The 2015 Saint-Aubin Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru has a slightly smudged bouquet that is showing a touch of volatility, although not to the extent that I’m ready to dismiss this wine. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, presenting notes of squeezed lime and a twist of bitter lemon toward the edgy finish. It feels a little muddled at the moment and seems to caramelize with time in the glass. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 5 closure)
