2009 Puligny Montrachet Les Folatieres

The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres En La Richard is the most dense and substantial of these 2009s from Benoit Ente. It possesses gorgeous textural richness, considerable depth and fabulous overall balance. The aromas and flavors come together beautifully in this complete, harmonious white. The finish impresses for its depth and purity. Anticipated maturity: 2013+. It’s impossible not to admire Benoit Ente’s passion and enthusiasm. Ente farms three hectares of vineyards inherited from his father’s side of the family. (His brother Arnaud works with vineyard’s from his father in law’s family). The 2010s were still in malo at the time of my visit. Ente told me he planned to give the 2010s a few additional months in steel, reflecting a move towards a longer aging regime across the board.
