2014 Corton Charlemagne

The 2014 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru, which is pure Le Charlemagne and matured in 40% new oak, has a clean and pure, lightly honeyed bouquet with honeysuckle and a slight leesy aromas. It feels richer than the Camille-Giround version of Corton-Charlemagne (also made by David Croix, of course). The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly honeyed texture, with hints of white chocolate, quite showy with good depth on the finish. Very fine.
