(these vines range in age from 35 to less than 10 years old): Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of fresh apricot and pear. Not a particularly mineral style but this site benefited from its altitude in 2015, with the wine showing just enough acidity to maintain shape and freshness. Good stuffing but only modest complexity. Finishes with a floral note and a faint dryness.

The 2015 Maranges 1er Cru la Fussiere Blanc felt a little conservative on the nose and perhaps did not quite convey the same level of mineralité as the Santenay Village Blanc. The palate ups the game with lime, cooking apple and a touch of peach skin. The acidity is nicely judged and there is good persistence on the finish, although at the moment I feel that this is just holding itself back, not fully letting go. Let's see how it performs once in bottle.
Healthy pale color. An aroma of ripe peach is lifted by a floral element. This fat, chewy wine shows a touch of salinity but only moderate flavor interest.
