Punteggio 90+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2015
(just two barrels made from west-facing vines on the Pernand side of the appellation, one new and one one year old): Bright, pale yellow. Laid-back aromas of lemon, ginger and stone. Dusty and a bit dry-edged, in a distinctly austere, even rigid style. I wanted more juiciness, not to mention sweetness of fruit. Finishes saline and very dry, with the oak element not yet integrated. An awkward showing today: this wine will need further élevage and time in the cellar to sort itself out.
