Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2018-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2018

The 2015 Perlato del Bosco shows the richer style of Sangiovese that is typical of Suvereto and the Tuscan coast. Varietal flavors are amped up in this racy, voluptuous red from Tua Rita. Succulent red cherry, plum, new leather and licorice add shades of nuance, but this is a decidedly forward, fruit-driven style. I would prefer to drink the 2015 sooner rather than later. At present, the 2015 shows a bit of new oak and is still recovering from its recent bottling a few months ago. I would prefer to cellar it for at least another 6 months.

Just mid ruby! What happened here?? Cherry palate that is light of touch with a creamy note on the finish. Pleasant but not really challenging. (WS)

Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2017-2027, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Nov 2017

The mid-weight 2015 Perlato del Bosco is a pure expression of Sangiovese that boasts the warmth and sunshine of Coastal Tuscany. The wine offers thick layers of fruit and spice that you would get, say, with Sangiovese from cooler inland areas with vineyards planted at higher altitudes over sea level. Bright cherry and wild raspberry transition to toasted almond, licorice and grilled herb.
