Note di degustazione
From the Barberino Val d'Elsa sub zone, the 2014 Chianti Classico opens to a light and luminous ruby color that reflects the ambient light. This is a crisp and authentic expression with wild berry and white cherry. The blend is 90% Sangiovese, and 10% Canaiolo and Colorino, aged in large oak casks for 15 months. The wine offers a very attractive level of buoyancy and crispness.

Barberino Val d’Elsa. Cask sample. Just mid crimson. A little herbal and spicy and in need of lots of aeration to bring out the fruit. Hint of honey. Lots of brisk acidity and the red fruit is still a little closed. Firm finish with drying tannins. Should improve with a couple more months in bottle. (WS)
