The 2013 Santenay Les Charmes Dessus has a delightful bouquet with honeycomb, orange peel and honey (there was pourriture noble of 3% to 5%, according to Nicolas.) The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with good acidity and an understated, lightly spiced finish. Excellent...I could imagine drinking this with a nice Thai dish.

An all but invisible note of wood serves as a subtle backdrop for the nose composed of floral and pear scents. The very fresh middle weight flavors possess both good volume and punch yet also good delineation before terminating in a crisp, cool and delicious finish that offers only average depth and length.
