2012 Beaune Coucherias

(from vines harvested on September 29; the yield here was just 22 hectoliters per hectare): Bright red-ruby. Redcurrant, leather and an intriguing floral note on the nose and palate. Sweet and quite concentrated, with a saline nuance and a suggestion of chocolate to the impressively rich fruit. Superb for this cuvee, and not lacking in elegance.
