The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino Fornace is one of three new releases from this long-standing winery from this beautiful corner of southern Tuscany. Dark color saturation and rich concentration bring on aromas of black cherry, cassis, grilled herb and savory spice. This wine offers a complete portrait of Sangiovese and Montalcino in a warm vintage. It is robust and hearty, yet it also shows elegant texture and bright acidity on the close.
