Note di degustazione
The 2016 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion has a higher-toned nose with vivacious black fruit, blueberry, iris flower and lavender scents, succinct and poised with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid red fruit. Fine grip, beautifully balanced, clean and fresh, with a precise finish that tempts you back for more. Wow—what a Deuxième Vin ! Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.

Tobacco and black currant aromas. It’s tensile, fresh and approachable, with a balanced profile and elegant dark fruit. Succulent and flavorful. Drink or hold. 10 Years On retrospective.
Luscious, balanced, in its sweet spot or at least limbering up to it, full of creamy smoked caramel edges with blueberry and raspberry fruit, elegant but with a sense of welcome and delight. Jean-Philippe Masclef technical director, Jean-Philippe Delmas director.
The 2016 La Chapelle de la Mission has a richer, denser bouquet than the 2016 Haut Bailly, offering more upfront black fruit laced with seaweed and briny notes. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, a fine bead of acidity, hints of black olive and sage and quite a complex, engaging finish. Very fine, though it just lacks the persistence of its peers. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
