Tasted from vat, the 2008 Barbera d'Alba Superiore still needed to be racked and bottled at the time of tasting. At this young stage, the wine shows bold fruit and spicy oak at the back. Its texture is rich, velvety and thick although the aromatic intensity is not as intense or complete compared to the 2007 vintage.
