Note di degustazione
Transparent garnet. Trademark ‘warm bricks’ nose. Really very appealing indeed with great balance and huge ripe-but-not-sweet current appeal on the palate. This is a lovely wine! Really fresh but broad. Skips along! I tasted this alongside the grand vin and this is definitely the one to drink now. (JR)

More abrupt in its tannic structure than La Chapelle, layered with rosemary, campfire, tar, smoke and spice. Needs a few more years and feels a little stubborn, certainly compared to the seductive depths of the main Haut-Brion wine.
Tasted blind. Looks quite evolved. Fresh and mild and low key but with the balance to age well. Dry finish. Masses of pleasure here. (JR)
Tasted blind. Quite herbaceous aromas. Big and bold on the palate – almost sweet and syrupy! Flattering at first but it ends a little suddenly. Long-term wine. (JR)
