Note di degustazione
Bright dark red. Menthol and spice notes accent the aromas of cherry and raspberry. The supplest and sweetest of these 2015s to this point, in a distinctly riper but still very fresh style. Nicely pliant wine with a flavor of blueberry refreshed by underlying stony character. These vines are planted just under the forest on shallow, rocky soil at an altitude of 350 meters but enjoy a warm southern exposure. The later harvest here clearly brought added density and ripeness.

The 2015 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Couchereaux is a little charmer on the nose with wild strawberry, briary and blackcurrant scents entwined with fine mineralité and tension. The palate is medium-bodied with supple red berry fruit, a gentle grip, neatly integrated oak and very fine detail on the finish. What a delicious and expressive Beaune from Louis Jadot.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
