This will be aged exclusively in puncheons in a few years’ time. Bottled from 2008 with much of the fruit effectively declassified Grange. Generous and spicy on the nose. Then real structure and life. Glossy stuff. For now and the future. So neat! 14.5%

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz offers classic Maranaga notes of baked berries, preserved plums and blueberry pie with incense, mincemeat, licorice and spice box hints. Full-bodied and concentrated, it’s wonderfully rich and spicy in the mouth with velvety tannins and great length. This is beautifully expressive of the sub-region.

A relatively recent arrival into the Penfolds Bin range, and has been a success from the outset. A dense and rich full-bodied shiraz, with a phalanx of purple and black fruits framed by 14 months maturation in French and American oak. Ripe tannins put the seal on the future of a long-lived wine.
